Japanese food is commonly eaten in Singapore. It can be eaten ala-carte, as takeaway or on conveyor belt. I recommend Sakae Sushi as a place worth visiting.
It serves sushi and non-sushi items as well. What always ends up in my palate is the latter. I cannot resist ordering Kani and Yashi Tempura, which is crabstick and vegetable shreds fried in tempura batter, Fried Hotate, which is scallops fried in breadcrumbs, Takoyaki Balls, which is fried octopus balls and Cold, Fried or Agekashi Tofu, which is tofu served cold with soya sauce and spring onions, or fried with fish flakes sprinkled on top. I never fail to spend an average of $15 on each visit there.
